I just want to go on the record and say that I believe Tampa is just as good of a pick to make it out of the East as Pittsburgh. |

I get that, just was surprised not to see them picked at all. |

The Kings have been great but they also were a Vlasic injury away from being bounced in Round 1 last year. |

Their reverse sweep had little to do with Vlasic and a lot to do with them being the better team. They weren't really focused the first two games, and game 3 was a bit of bad luck, but they still outplayed San Jose. |

So you think the Rangers will be in the finals too based on your logic? |

Don't be smug. The Sharks losing Pickles was the biggest factor of that series |

Rangers win the next two cups and they will be able to say they've won 10 out of their last 11 playoff series. I wouldn't put any money on it if I were you. |

That's a good thing! Chicago is the best team ever and up there with the Penguins. No other team is as deserving of the cup than St. Louis. Boston is Going ALL the way this year. Yay the four saviors!!
in the shadow of that, you have teams like LA (no other mentioned, none forgotten) who really doesn't aim for a Div. title or Prez trophy or winning streaks. They don't read predictions, they don't listen to odds makers, they only care about their team mates and to finish the job. When the dance starts they don't stop until the fat lady belch out her final Cminor...and they are there to hear it. That's usually the time you hear about the next dance, the next year, the whateverreasontheycouldntgetitdone excuse by the authors of these millions of predictions...and it all starts again. Drop the puck and get it done. |

The kings spent most of the playoffs as the benefactors of great luck. They were also an Andersen injury away from losing to Anaheim in 5 games. |

And the Rangers may not have beaten Montreal if Price were out, and the Pens would win every year if they were healthy, and Colorado had injuries, etc.
I have a hard time calling the run that the Kings are on "luck". Not a Kings fan, but they will be a very good team for a very long time. |

No way Pittsburgh makes it back to the Final until they add some depth up front. Can't do that until they free up cap space. Boston will be back in the Finals again. |

100% disagree. Pens have what it takes, barring injuries. Bruins could possibly, as long as they don't face the Habs again. |

The Blues better win the division and face somebody weaker than them. Hopefully we'll get lucky and someone can knock out Chicago and LA. if so then i can see us going to the finals and ACTUALLY WIN. The west is the best and if the Blues can get lucky then they should take it easily. I see a dogfight in the west between LA, Chicago, Blues, and Anaheim. maybe Colorado but I could see them slipping a little bit this season as the goalies can't do what they did last year right? |

Puck luck and injuries happen. For a team to win and become champions those factors have to be overcome and that's what that Kings did |

I disagree.
SJ losing vlasic did have an impact on SJ.
Was it the main cause of their collapse? No, but it sure factored in.
